Level with the opponent
Solid ink is a week won, halftone a week lost, and the gold chip under week seventeen is the championship. The axis is not broken: week 1, a 69-point win, is the largest margin either way in the regular season, and no win came by under five points. Margins run across all 17 weeks, playoffs included. The rail under the week numbers carries the result: filled disc a win, hollow a loss, gold the championship week, and an ink ring the highest score in the league that week. The ring is a regular-season measure, so the playoff weeks carry none. The IronCity Mudslingers posted the league's highest score two times, and there goes the Naberhood two times.

The three-peat's middle year was the one where the numbers agreed for once. Wayne A.'s IronCity went 11-4 and led the league with 1,941 points; Pete M.'s Naberhood had the better record at 12-3 but sat fourth on points, and IronCity had already beaten them 152 to 108 in week ten. Saquon Barkley was worth 130 above replacement across the season and Ja'Marr Chase 120, the two most valuable men in the game, and both of them belonged to the champion.

Naberhood had renamed themselves that year in honour of a rookie receiver: *there goes the Naberhood*, for Malik Nabers. Nabers scored 29 in the final and it was the best performance on the losing side. IronCity never trailed, from Jaxon Smith-Njigba's 3 on Thursday night to the finish. Joe Burrow went for 41 on Saturday and Naberhood still went into Sunday 24 behind. Jonathan Taylor 26, Saquon Barkley 17, the Miami defense 13, Bijan Robinson 22 on Sunday night, and by Monday the thing was decided. 166 to 141. At 307 points between them it is the second-highest-scoring final on record, behind 2015, and only one of the two ever led it.

PAR against replacement, ink above the line and halftone below, thickness is raw fantasy points, and a gap is a week he did not start; benched, injured and not-yet-acquired are three stories drawn identically and the footnote says so. The newsprint band is the playoff weeks and the gold dot is the final. Replacement is the mean of every started player at that position, league-wide, that week; in playoff weeks, when only the surviving teams field a lineup, it is carried from that season's regular-season mean instead.
