Level with the opponent
Solid ink is a week won, halftone a week lost, and the gold chip under week sixteen is the championship. The axis is not broken: week 10, a 97-point loss, is the largest margin either way in the regular season, and one win came by under five points, +3. Margins run across all 16 weeks, playoffs included. The rail under the week numbers carries the result: filled disc a win, hollow a loss, gold the championship week, and an ink ring the highest score in the league that week. The ring is a regular-season measure, so the playoff weeks carry none. The IronCity Mudslingers posted the league's highest score three times, and Alligators no times.

One point. That is the whole story and everything else is how they got there. Wayne A.'s IronCity finished 8-6 and sixth of ten on points, lost four games in a row in November including a 97-point defeat to Naberhood in week ten, and were beaten twice by the team they met in the final, by 13 in week seven and by 49 in week twelve. Then they won four straight and the championship. Todd Gurley had carried the first half, 210 points across the opening eight weeks, and Saquon Barkley arrived in November to carry what was left.

Linda M.'s Alligators were 10-4 and had the best single player in the game in Patrick Mahomes, worth 99 above replacement. IronCity led all weekend, by 22 after one o'clock and 33 after four, and then Mahomes went for 31 on Sunday night and cut it to 2 with Monday still to come. Alligators had two men left. IronCity had one. Jordy Nelson scored 8 and Tim Patrick scored 4, for 12. DaeSean Hamilton scored 10. 94 to 93. Until 2023 it was the closest final ever played here, and it went to a receiver most of the league could not have named.

The defense had already won it before Monday. Wayne A. carried the Jacksonville defense all sixteen weeks and it repaid him badly: eleven starts, five benchings, and once left out for a week it scored 22 while the Steelers he started scored 3. In the final it went for 20, more than it had given him in any week he started it all season, against 2 from the Alligators' Colts. That is 18 of a 1-point win. The Cowboys were sitting on his own bench for 17. Three points fewer, and the one-point win is a two-point loss, and Linda M. has a championship.

Three years later Pete M. won one the same way and from the opposite direction, off a defense he claimed the week of the final.

PAR against replacement, ink above the line and halftone below, thickness is raw fantasy points, and a gap is a week he did not start; benched, injured and not-yet-acquired are three stories drawn identically and the footnote says so. The newsprint band is the playoff weeks and the gold dot is the final. Replacement is the mean of every started player at that position, league-wide, that week; in playoff weeks, when only the surviving teams field a lineup, it is carried from that season's regular-season mean instead.

The regular season. Best week 157 in week 6, worst 61 in week 10. The narrowest win was week 13, by 3.3. They posted the highest score in the league 3 times all season.

The runner-up. Alligators, 10-4, 1,619 points, averaged 116 a week in the regular season and scored 93 in the final, −23 off their own pace.
