The franchise

The Alligators are the only franchise with a title whose every route into the roster is underwater. Minus 435 off the draft and minus 658 by every other route. They have rostered Adrian Peterson for eight seasons at plus 349, Patrick Mahomes for eight at plus 291, and Jamaal Charles at plus 219, and the franchise is still more than a thousand points below replacement across nineteen years.

The one title, in 2014, was built on Jordy Nelson, who produced plus 76 across fifteen starts. That is the smallest figure any championship on this site was built on. The two finals since, 2018 and 2022, were both lost, and the 2018 one was lost by 1 point with Patrick Mahomes scoring 31 for the losing side.

Four last places is second only to Sweep The Leg, and they are spread across the whole run: 2008, 2015, 2017, 2023.
